The DA8100 has a user-friendly design. The mouthpiece is located on the front and allows the user to look at the result while blowing into the breathalyzer. It also features a fuel cell sensor which provides an accuracy of ± 0.005%BAC at 0.100%BAC. It also displays results in mg/l (UK), %BAC (US) and g/l (EU) and features an adjustable sampling time to suit any user.

± 0.005%BAC at 0.100%BAC When a person's actual breath alcohol concentration is 0.100%, the DA8100 will always produce a result between 0.105% to 0.095%.

Adjustable Sampling Time improves accuracy by ensuring the breathalyzer captures the entire breath sample.

Different Unit of Measure makes this model useable in every jurisdiction in the world. 
UK uses mg/l, US and Canada use %BAC while most European countries use g/l.

Dieters and Diabetics users are known to produce a high level of acetone in their breath which the fuel cell sensor can distinguish which would otherwise be wrongly detected as alcohol with a semiconductor sensor.
